Meet the founder, Heather Kuhnheim
Heather is on a personal mission to increase joy, empowerment and creativity on a global scale. She holds the belief that you can create anything, anytime, anywhere, as long as you believe it is possible.
Prior to founding A Project Called Life and graduating from the Berkeley Executive Coaching Institute, Heather spent close to a decade scaling Marine Layer, a San Francisco based apparel company, from start-up to national brand.
As the VP of Retail, she led the expansion from 5 to 300 employees and 1 to 47 stores, overseeing over $40M in revenue and all strategic functions of the retail channel, including: operations, hiring/training, customer experience, real estate, store design and store merchandising.
Heather’s impact went beyond business at Marine Layer, as she was the force within the organization that inspired the team to believe deeply in themselves and the brand. Thanks to her guidance, the Marine Layer team developed a mindset that anything is possible – a belief that still permeates the company culture today.
